We did not stay in the rooms. Had a lovely lunch though. Menu was very good, catering for everyone. Lunch menu and generic menu to choose from. Lunch menu specials all £13 per head. Other menu was average £18. Very well cooked and presented. Staff were friendly and accommodating as we hadn’t booked. Lovely surroundings different areas to sit and dog friendly! Although it was a winter day, we saw there are outside places to sit in warmer months include a covered outside space for Spring and Autumn. Well done to The Railway, we will definately return, just glad we visited. Looking forward to returning 😊Location is superb to Ipswich.

Stayed overnight, lovely place next to railway station. Room was upstairs the bar(ground floor). Tasty food with good variety of drinks. Also, the price for double room was reasonable. If, I had to, would definitely choose this location again.

Had our pre-Christmas family catch up meal here today, and without exception the staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive. The food was superb, and everywhere felt clean.

We had a 90th birthday party in the room in the garden. Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were very friendly. Harriet in particular really made the evening. She was friendly and very helpful. The manager was organised and made everything run smoothly. The food was delicious and well worth the money.

We come upon The Railway whilst looking for some food in the area. Despite being very busy, they fit us in and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing, and all had food envy of eachothers choice of meal. The portions are very generous, fresh, and yummy! Our group had the roast, seafood platter and the burger- we would recommend all of them! Not forgetting the service – the waitresses were very good and catered to everything. Thank you for the pleasurable experience!

Stayed at the Railway Inn for a week whilst attending my daughter’s wedding at the nearby venue.
Our en-suite room overlooking the garden was light, spacious and warm with a wonderful king size bed and tea making facilities.
The bar had a nice ambience with an extensive food menu at reasonable prices. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the location is ideal for anyone wishing to explore a little further afield.
